Why go now

Goa's shacks are dismantled every monsoon and rebuilt from scratch in late September. By mid-October the beaches are staffed again, the sea has calmed enough for water sports to restart, and the hinterland is still monsoon-green — spice plantations and Dudhsagar at volume, which December visitors never see. Room rates are roughly half what the same property charges in the last week of December.

What a typical package covers

  • Return flights or train from your departure city

  • A dedicated vehicle with driver for the whole itinerary
  • All permits, entry formalities and inter-city transfers
  • A named coordinator on WhatsApp for the length of the trip

Not included

  • Lunches, and any meal not named in the itinerary
  • Monument and activity tickets unless stated on your quote
  • Anything personal — laundry, tips, phone, medical

Know before you go

  • 1Shack opening is staggered. Early October is still patchy on the smaller beaches; by the end of the month everything is running.
  • 2North Goa and South Goa are different holidays. Decide which one you want before booking a hotel — the drive between them is over an hour.
  • 3Rented two-wheelers are the local default and also the biggest cause of tourist injury. Our packages include a car and driver for exactly that reason.

Questions

Goa — Frequently asked

If yours is not here, call or WhatsApp us — the desk answers, not a bot.

North for nightlife, markets, flea markets and a busy beach with something happening. South for wide empty sand, better resorts and early nights. Couples and families overwhelmingly prefer south; groups in their twenties almost always want north. We will ask you exactly this on the call before locking a hotel.

By mid-October, generally yes, and the lifeguard service is back on the main beaches. Early October can still carry monsoon swell and rip currents. Always swim between the flags — Goa's drowning statistics are almost entirely tourists who ignored them.

Three nights works if you stay in one half of the state and do not try to see both. Four is better. Anything under three nights is mostly airport transfers, and from Delhi or Kolkata it is not worth the flight time.
