Why go now

Ladakh has one road season a year and it is ending. Khardung La, Chang La and the Manali–Leh highway are open, Pangong and Nubra are reachable by road, and daytime temperatures sit in the comfortable high teens. By the second week of October the passes begin closing, homestays shut for winter, and the region goes back to flights-only access until May. If Ladakh is on your list for 2026, this is the window.

What a typical package covers

  • Return flights or train from your departure city
  • Hotels or homestays on twin sharing, hand-picked rather than allocated
  • Daily breakfast, and dinner where the location has no reasonable alternative
  • A dedicated vehicle with driver for the whole itinerary
  • All permits, entry formalities and inter-city transfers
  • A named coordinator on WhatsApp for the length of the trip

Not included

  • Lunches, and any meal not named in the itinerary
  • Monument and activity tickets unless stated on your quote
  • Anything personal — laundry, tips, phone, medical

Know before you go

  • 1Altitude is the real risk, not cold. Every itinerary keeps you in Leh for a full 24–36 hours before going higher, and we will not compress that on request.
  • 2Inner Line Permits are required for Nubra, Pangong and Tso Moriri. We arrange these; you need a scanned ID for each traveller.
  • 3Mobile data works on postpaid Indian SIMs only. Jio and Airtel postpaid are reliable in Leh, patchy beyond.

Visa for Indian passports

No visa. Domestic travel.

Questions

Ladakh — Frequently asked

If yours is not here, call or WhatsApp us — the desk answers, not a bot.

Yes, with the right pacing. The itineraries we sell are built around acclimatisation, not sightseeing density — you land, rest, and only cross a high pass on day three or later. Travellers with uncontrolled hypertension, recent cardiac events or advanced respiratory conditions should clear the trip with their doctor first, and we will tell you the same on the call.

Fly if you have under eight days; the two-day Manali road eats your entire buffer and lands you at altitude tired. Drive if you have ten days or more and the road itself is the point — Baralacha La and Gata Loops are the trip, not the commute.

It is the per-person floor for a six-night trip on twin sharing with return flights from Delhi, hotels, permits, a dedicated vehicle and driver, and breakfast plus dinner. Peak-week departures, single occupancy and premium camps in Pangong push it higher. Your exact number is confirmed on the call, before you pay anything beyond the ₹500 hold.
