Why go now

Singapore is equatorial, so there is no bad season — only wetter afternoons in November and December. The practical reason to go now is that September to November avoids both the Indian school-holiday price spike and the Christmas surge, and the F1 night race in September gives the city a genuine event if you want one. Almost everything worth doing is indoors or covered, so an afternoon shower changes nothing.

Know before you go

  • 1Attraction tickets, not hotels, are the budget. Universal, the aquarium, the observation decks and the zoo add up fast — buy a bundle in advance rather than at each gate.
  • 2The MRT covers everything and is far cheaper and faster than taxis. Get an EZ-Link card at the airport.
  • 3Singapore enforces its rules. No chewing gum, no eating on the MRT, no jaywalking, and fines are real.

Visa for Indian passports

Questions

Singapore — Frequently asked

If yours is not here, call or WhatsApp us — the desk answers, not a bot.

Yes — it is a compact city and four nights covers it well. Five if you are doing Universal and the zoo with children. Beyond six you are repeating yourself, at which point add Bintan, Batam or a Kuala Lumpur leg.

It is the most expensive Southeast Asian city, but manageable with planning. Hawker centres cost less than an Indian mall food court and are excellent. Staying in Geylang or Little India instead of Marina Bay halves the hotel line. A family of four can do five nights within ₹2.4–3 lakh all in.

Singapore is the strongest candidate. Everything is accessible, taxis and the MRT are easy, medical care is world class, Indian vegetarian food is everywhere, and the flight is short. It is the trip we recommend most often for a first passport stamp at sixty-plus.
